On October 22, the First Expert Seminar on the Development of Fertilizer Products by Xinlianxin Chemical Industry Group was held in Conference Room 3 of the Nitrogen Fertilizer Research Center, with the event being conducted both online and offline. Du Sen, Director of the Fertilizer Department at the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs; Bai Youlu, researcher at the Institute of Agricultural Resources and Agricultural Regional Planning of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences; Zhang Min, professor at Shandong Agricultural University; Zhang Chenglin, professor at South China Agricultural University; Shi Xiaojun, professor at Southwest University; and Ye Liangyou, professor at Henan Agricultural University, were invited to attend the conference. Liu Xingxu, Chairman of the group company, along with vice presidents Li Yushun, Wang Nairen, and Zhao Lianzi, general manager assistants Jia Xinchao and Liu Huanqing, as well as other relevant staff members of the group, also attended the meeting. At the beginning of the conference, Li Yushun, deputy general manager of Xinlianxin Group, delivered a speech on behalf of the group, extending a warm welcome and sincere gratitude to all the experts who had taken the time to come from afar! Subsequently, the experts discussed various topics such as fertilizer and soil health, integrated water and fertilizer management, the use of fertilizers to improve crop quality, the development direction of the chemical fertilizer industry, and long-acting controlled-release fertilizers. Drawing on the conclusions and experiences derived from their years of research, and using theoretical foundations as a starting point, they explained the inevitability and necessity of the development of fertilizers. By presenting market research and experimental data from across the country over the years, it provides an in-depth analysis of the urgent needs in the fertilizer market, the main problems facing fertilizer development, the need for modernization of fertilization infrastructure, and the importance of agricultural chemical technology services. Experts also share and discuss the latest research findings and breakthroughs, using new approaches and perspectives to challenge traditional methods of fertilizer production and use, thereby opening up new paths for the innovative development of fertilizers. At the meeting, the attending leaders and colleagues listened carefully to the presentations, exchanged questions with the experts, and had in-depth discussions on various issues related to the development, planning, research and development, and promotion of fertilizer products. At the end of the meeting, Chairman Liu Xingxu delivered a concluding speech. First, Chairman Liu expressed his sincere gratitude to the experts for their excellent presentations. He said that through a day of discussions and exchanges at the expert seminar, we gained a great deal. The expert teachers not only pointed out the way forward for our research and development efforts as well as the key areas for research and promotion, but they also strengthened our determination to deepen product development, enhance agricultural services, and optimize the structure of product promotion. The expert teachers have clarified ambiguous knowledge points, overturned traditional views on fertilizers, and established a completely new and advanced logical framework for research and development, which holds great guiding significance for our future work at all stages. We must keenly detect market demands and make full use of our strengths. R&D personnel should adopt the way of thinking, innovative mindset, and dedication to research of experts, while those responsible for promoting agrochemical services should apply our high-quality products to the appropriate areas and crops, helping farmers improve quality and efficiency as well as increase yields and incomes, thus making our due contribution to the sustainable and green development of Chinese agriculture!
