Methanol price trends across China on November 13 Author/Source: Date: 2019-11-13 Clicks: 88 The methanol market in Hebei region remained weak; prices in Shijiazhuang and Dingzhou areas were around 1,950–2,000 yuan per ton, a decrease of 50 yuan per ton； Traders are quoting around 1,900 yuan per ton for the Wen’an area ； 2,200 yuan per ton in the Tangshan area. Local enterprises in the Henan region are selling at 1,950 yuan per ton; prices are slightly higher for smaller orders. Some enterprises also accept orders at this price level. In the Luoyang area, the standard selling price is around 1,900 yuan per ton, with lower inventory levels and generally weak market demand. The methanol market in Shanxi region saw a slight local decline. Currently, in Linfen, the reference price is around 1,800–1,880 yuan per ton, with contracts being the main basis for pricing ； In Jincheng, the reference price for some contracts is around 1,820–1,860 yuan per ton; some small-scale production facilities in the area are scheduled to start producing products in the near future ； The retail price in Changzhi is 1,880 yuan per ton ； Tongmei contract price: 1,820 yuan per ton ； Some enterprises in Lüliang are up for auction today, while the rest mainly adhere to their contracts. Methanol prices in northern Shandong have dropped significantly; currently, the selling price for enterprises in central and northern Shandong is around 2100–2110 yuan per ton, a decrease of 40 yuan per ton ； Traders are quoting prices of 1,950–1,980 yuan per ton for places such as Dongying and Zibo; the main phase of transactions has concluded, and there is limited buying interest in the market. Methanol producers in the southwest region are cautious with their quotes, with most adopting a wait-and-see attitude ； Currently, the quotes in the Chengdu market are around 2,030 yuan per ton (including taxes), with little demand from downstream buyers.
