Gluconic acid lactone is discharged from the crystallization tank; the material is a viscous solid-liquid mixture, with the solid phase being the dominant component and only a small amount of liquid water present. The proportion of the solid phase is over 85%. Flow occurs by gravity from the top of the crystallization tank to the pump inlet, but due to the high viscosity, such flow is difficult to achieve. The dynamic viscosity of the material is 7500 mPa·s, its density is 1.4 kg/l. The transportation distance is 35 meters, the pipe diameter is DN100, the elevation difference for transportation is 15 meters, and the flow rate is 10–30 t/h. Look for positive-displacement pumps online; gear pumps are generally used to transport fluids with high viscosity where the head pressure isn’t very high
