Does anyone know what type of dryer is used for drying water gas? Can both cold drying and adsorption methods be used?
What occasion? Traffic? Safety and energy consumption are the main considerations; adsorption-type is better
Hydrogen, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, trace amounts of water and oxygen, pressure of 6~7 kilograms. Later, carbon dioxide needs to be removed through pressure swing adsorption, and what is required are carbon monoxide and hydrogen.
In general industry, the adsorption drying process is used, which can handle larger volumes of material, while cold dryers have a smaller capacity.
The original poster did not explain the process clearly; a certain amount of water vapor is required during the conversion process, and dehydration takes place after that. It might be possible to use a combination of low temperature and adsorption methods, but this depends on the volume of gas used as well as the requirements of subsequent stages regarding CO+H2.
