It’s just a regular vortex flow meter; the YOKOGAWA DY series will do. By adding the multi-parameter option, it’s possible to directly measure the mass flow rate of saturated steam.
Be aware that you will likely need to reduce the diameter to DN200 for measurement. If measured in terms of trade, it is recommended to import instead. Recommend Yokogawa DY
Imports are more expensive but offer more precise measurements. It is essential to choose shock-resistant instruments, as the vortex flowmeters used previously were not shock-resistant and their measurements were not very accurate.
Our company uses Yokogawa units, which come with built-in temperature and pressure compensation; we have used several of them and their stability is excellent

For the model on the 8th floor, the Yokogawa vortex flow meter does not have built-in temperature and pressure compensation; only the MV model for saturated steam comes with integrated temperature compensation. Saturated steam only requires one type of compensation; however, compared to temperature compensation, pressure compensation offers higher precision, while temperature compensation has lower precision. Measuring steam – if you can’t determine the exact operating conditions, having a compensation mechanism isn’t of much use!

Yokogawa offers vortex flowmeters with pressure and temperature compensation, meaning that both the pressure interface and the temperature interface are located on the vortex flowmeter itself; however, this is not indicated on the data sheet. 2. If the steam parameters are uncertain, it’s best to enable all temperature and pressure compensations first, and then decide based on the situation. Why is it said to be of little use? In cases of uncertainty here, I use thermal and pressure compensation, which gives results consistent with manual calculations; if that’s not done, the results will definitely be incorrect.
