There are several ways to achieve synchronous control using multiple identical frequency converters. I have now equipped each frequency converter with an encoder, allowing each one to operate in its own speed feedback loop; the PLC supplies speed commands to both frequency converters simultaneously, with no communication between the converters themselves. Is this approach feasible? Some expert out there, please give some advice

There’s no problem with this; the PLC is used to control the frequency converter. In fact, it mainly depends on the control scheme of your frequency converter
One PLC controls two frequency converters simultaneously. These frequency converters are equipped with encoder cards and connected to encoders to enable closed-loop control. However, there is no connection between the two frequency converters; they simply receive the same speed setpoint signal from the PLC at the same time
If two frequency converters are required to operate at the same speed, is it necessary to install encoders? Even if there are errors, they won’t be significant. Why choose speed as the parameter to be controlled? It should be some process parameters such as pressure and flow rate. If you want a more detailed solution, please provide the PLC model, expansion module models, inverter model, and encoder model; only then can I tell you how to wire everything together and how to configure the PLC and set up the inverter
