Issues regarding thermometer selection in the specifications

In the \"Design Code for Automation Systems of Petrochemical Tank Areas\" (SH/T3184-2017), clause 5.1.7 states that for single-point temperature measurements that are not used for metering, on-site temperature transmitters should be employed. Does this sentence mean that for tanks not used for measurement purposes, an integrated temperature transmitter should be used to measure the temperature? I’m not quite sure what it means – why is it necessary to use a transmitter with a temperature function?
From a design perspective, choosing an integrated temperature transmitter that can directly output current signals is advisable; otherwise, issues such as temperature conversion in the control room, power distribution, and signal loss must be taken into account
Similar to the 2nd floor, the integrated temperature transmitter outputs signals directly, so there is no need for long compensation wires to be run to the control room. However, some people say that adding a temperature sensor means adding another point of failure; it all comes down to making a balance. Especially these days, temperature sensors are really cheap – in previous years, foreigners took advantage of this situation a lot.
