An electromagnetic flowmeter is a new type of measuring instrument with high accuracy, and it generally does not encounter any problems during measurement. As long as we use the correct installation method when installing the electromagnetic flowmeter, we can ensure its measurement accuracy. 1. Pay attention to the installation position of the electromagnetic flowmeter transmitter; when installing it, ensure that the liquid being measured has completely filled the entire pipeline, so as to achieve greater accuracy during installation. There are two ways to install the transmitter of an electromagnetic flowmeter: one is a horizontal installation and the other is a vertical installation. If a horizontal installation method is chosen, it should be installed at a position lower than the pipeline; if a vertical installation is used, it is necessary to ensure that the liquid flows from bottom to top. 2. Generally, when installing an electromagnetic flowmeter, it is required that there be a length at the transmitter’s front end equal to about five to ten times the diameter of the pipeline, and attention must also be paid to its installation location. Generally, we should install the electromagnetic flowmeter in a location far away from magnetic fields and sources of vibration, to avoid being disturbed by them. 3. There may be some stray currents present in the pipes located in front of and behind the transmitter. To prevent the electromagnetic flowmeter from being affected by these currents, it is advisable to connect the pipes within 1 to 1.5 meters in front of and behind the transmitter to the transmitter’s casing, using a common grounding method; the grounding point should be as close to the transmitter as possible. 4. When installing an electromagnetic flowmeter, the signal wires of the transmitter must not run parallel to the power supply wires; they also cannot be placed in the same metal conduit as the power supply wires, as this will affect the signal of the electromagnetic flowmeter to some extent. Before installing one, it is essential to have some knowledge regarding its installation and operation, as this will ensure its proper functioning in the future.
