Regarding RS232 wiring

Are the title bar and content area reversed on the mobile version? It’s still not correct after trying several times. I’d like to ask my friends for help. I bought an RS232 cable and cut it; I only need wires 2, 3, and 5. Using a multimeter, I was able to find wires 2 and 3, but I couldn’t locate wire 5 at all. I tried all the pins along with all the wires, but there’s no connection. Where has this 5 ground gone? Then, if I use it this way, connecting only to 2.3 and not to 5, will that work?
The title bar and content area of the Apple client are reversed; I sent a few attempts earlier, but none of them were correct. Could those of you who are experienced please delete the previous attempts related to RS232?
It seems that 2 wires are enough for 232: one for RX and one for TX
