What does the forward and reverse action of a valve positioner for pneumatic diaphragm control valves refer to?

The concept of action and reaction refers to increasing or decreasing the signal sent to the actuator, thereby determining whether the air pressure output will increase or decrease. For example, if the signal increases and the output increases, that is a positive effect.

The reverse action means it is the opposite of the signal sent from the control room; if 25 is sent, 75 is displayed. The direct action means that it shows 25, just as the signal sent from the control room does
