During the shutdown for maintenance, the Bentley 3500 phasor module 25 of the ammonia compressor suddenly started to smoke, and there was a burnt smell in the cabinet area; no specific location could be identified during the inspection at that time. It was only when trying to restore the instrumentation on the shafting that it was discovered the entire system had no power. Inspection revealed that the phase detection module was damaged; smoke was emitted during the replacement of the spare part, and the cause could not be determined.
Check the bottom plate of the phase key module; it might be a problem with the bottom plate.

The System 1 system of the ASU-2 experienced multiple data interruptions, which affected the vibration analysis. Upon inspection, it was found that the OK light for the 3500/22 phase detector was flashing, and the phase signal appeared and disappeared frequently, resulting in numerous \"keyphasor lost\" alarms being generated by System 1. Upon inspecting the phase-locked card, it was found that the back of the card had turned yellow (there had been cases in factories where fires broke out due to phase-locked cards); after discussing the matter with Bentley Company, they admitted that there were quality issues with the phase-locked cards in this batch. Hahaha, so you’re the factory that caught fire, hehe.
