Considerations for purchasing a pressure transmitter for the first time: The design of this pressure transmitter incorporates the structural advantages of the two most popular and widely used transmitters in China at present – the Rosemount 3051 and the Yokogawa EJA – which gives users a fresh feeling. It can be directly replaced in installation with traditional models such as the 1151 and CECC series, offering high versatility and replaceability. Therefore, the following points should be taken into consideration when making the initial purchase: 1. Pressure interface size: The size of the pressure interface of the pressure transmitter is specified by the user based on the equipment configuration and provided to the manufacturer. The commonly used pressure interfaces are M20X1.5 and M12X1, or they can be customized according to the user’s requirements. 2. Required sensor accuracy level: This parameter determines the precision with which the sensor can measure liquids, gases, dust, etc.; it is one of the key indicators of a sensor. It is best to choose a level that meets the user’s basic requirements. Of course, the higher the precision of sensors for measuring liquids, gases, dust, etc., the better – but precision and price are directly proportional to each other. 3. Operating conditions requirements: During use, sensors are exposed to a variety of operating conditions. For example, whether it is in a very humid environment, whether some sensors have to operate for long periods in outdoor conditions exposed to wind and rain, and whether there is strong interference in the environment surrounding the sensors – all these factors require communication between the user and the manufacturer, who should specify them at the time of ordering. 4. Range: This parameter refers to the maximum pressure (force) that the sensor can measure for liquids, gases, dust, etc. Once the user is aware of the pressures to be measured, the range of the pressure transmitter should be chosen to be sufficiently large. It is usually higher than 1/3 of the maximum pressure of the liquid, gas, dust, etc., being measured. To prevent unexpected overload from damaging the sensor. For example, when the pressure to be measured is 100 KPa, the user can choose a pressure transmitter with a range of 150 KPa. 5. Output signal: Sensors have different output signals depending on their application. Typically, pressure transmitters for standard output have an mV-level output signal as well as a standard output signal after conditioning (by the pressure transmitter). 4-20mA and 0-5V output signals are more common. They are commonly referred to as voltage output signals and current output signals. Users can choose between the voltage output signal and the current output signal based on their actual requirements. The current output signal has strong anti-interference capability, making it suitable for long-distance transmission. The voltage output signal is suitable for applications with high frequency response requirements and computer-based data acquisition.
