Regarding the issue of turbidity in water!

The maximum measurement range of typical online turbidity analyzers is 0-1000 NTU; some models have a range of 0-4000 NTU. However, some customers specify a range of 0-9999 NTU. Does this range have any practical significance? After all, turbidity is definitely caused by suspended particles in the water. With such high turbidity, it must be filled with suspended particles, similar to untreated raw water. If the water has been pre-treated through filtration, it’s impossible for there to be such high turbidity. In this case, a turbidity measurement ranging from 0-9999 NTU doesn’t make much sense at all!
Some mixed systems are inherently highly turbid, such as milk, soy milk, and starch slurry. How can measuring high turbidity be meaningless? It’s just that you haven’t realized the measurement significance of this system.

It makes no sense. Reason: The turbidity of ordinary surface water (river water) is also in the range of 0–1000 NTU, while the water treated by water treatment plants generally has a turbidity of less than 1 NTU
