When checking empty cylinders before storage, the gas inside them must not be completely exhausted – a residual pressure must remain. For cylinders containing permanent gases, this residual pressure should be no less than 0.05 Mpa. 8. The shoulder of the gas cylinder indicates the specific date for the next inspection; it can be used until that date, and once it has passed that date, it must be taken to a specialized testing facility for inspection before it can be refilled and used again. It is generally tested once every two years. 9. Empty cylinders and filled cylinders should be stored separately, with clear markings; cylinders containing toxic gases, as well as those whose contents can cause combustion, explosion, or the generation of toxic substances, should be kept in separate areas, with gas protection equipment or fire extinguishing devices available in the vicinity.
