It depends on the selection of the actual transmitter; for example, in the case of a transmitter with a range of 0-1 Mpa, if the actual operating range is set to 0-0.1 Mpa, it’s not a big problem if this value is exceeded, as the transmitter won’t get damaged. There is also an overpressure limit even if the pressure exceeds 1 Mpa – this limit should be more than 10 times the maximum allowable pressure. However, this may pose a problem for the output side; the transmitter’s output should always be above 20mA, and it is necessary to check whether the acceptance range of the receiving module exceeds this value. Although modules generally don’t get damaged, if they detect abnormal signals, it could still pose risks, especially when this measurement point is involved in certain interlock logic circuits.

For the modules on the receiving end, there are modules corresponding to instruments with a small range, and those corresponding to instruments with a large range.
