Rosemount pressure transmitters, such as those in the 3051 and 1151 series, are all capacitive types; they convert the measured pressure or differential pressure values into changes in capacitance, and by detecting these capacitance changes, the corresponding pressure or differential pressure can be determined. Rosemount transmitters, featuring good stability and high precision, are widely used instruments. Rare defects in Rosemount pressure transmitters are, in some cases, caused by improper use on site or incorrect installation methods. Through extensive market observation and research, it has been found that such rare defects fall into the following categories: 1. Improper wiring of the Rosemount pressure transmitter, or too high/low supply voltage, can lead to poor contact at the junction between the gauge and its wiring terminals. 5. The device was not installed in strict accordance with the technical requirements of Rosemount pressure transmitters; the installation method did not meet the requirements of the actual site conditions. 6. How to correct a negative value that occurs when a Rosemount differential pressure transmitter is installed in the reverse direction. The device holes on both sides of the diaphragm head of the Rosemount differential pressure transmitter are identical; however, when leaving the factory, only one side is equipped with a flange (waist flange), while the other side has an exhaust screw. To prevent the occurrence of the aforementioned problems, the solution is to be thorough, to conduct a careful review, and to adopt effective measures in strict accordance with the requirements of the application device; thus, the problems encountered by Rosemount pressure transmitters can be eliminated. If a difficult-to-handle problem arises in practice, the pressure transmitter should be sent to the manufacturer for further inspection and repair.
