The daily maintenance of instruments is a fundamental aspect of equipment maintenance, and it must be carried out in a systematic and standardized manner. Regular maintenance of instruments is a planned preventive inspection. In addition to human senses, certain inspection tools and instruments are also required for this purpose. As per the scheduled inspection plan, such regular checks are also known as periodic inspections. Instruments should also undergo accuracy tests to determine the actual level of their precision. Caring for equipment through general methods such as wiping, cleaning, lubrication, and adjustment in order to maintain and preserve its performance and technical condition is known as instrument maintenance. (1) Cleaning: Keep the interior and exterior of the equipment clean; ensure that all sliding surfaces are free of oil, and that no oil or air leaks from any parts. Debris, waste materials, and dirt around the equipment must be removed ； (2) Neatness: Tools, accessories, and workpieces (products) should be placed neatly, and pipes and wires should be organized in an orderly manner ； (3) Good lubrication: Oil is added or changed on time; there is no lack of oil, no dry friction, the oil pressure is normal, the oil level gauge is clear, the oil flow paths are unobstructed, the oil quality meets the requirements, and the oil guns, oil cups, and oil seals are clean ； (4) Safety: Comply with safety operating procedures, avoid overloading the equipment, ensure that the equipment’s safety protection devices are complete and reliable, and promptly eliminate any unsafe factors. Maintenance tasks generally include routine maintenance, periodic maintenance, regular inspections and accuracy checks. Equipment lubrication as well as the maintenance of anti-freezing and anti-condensation systems are also important aspects of instrument maintenance. Instrument maintenance should be carried out in accordance with the maintenance procedures. The instrument maintenance procedures outline the requirements and regulations for the daily maintenance of instruments, ensuring that such maintenance is carried out consistently.
