Dear colleagues, our company’s products are electrolytic products, and the liquid produced is charged. In the past, rotameters were used for measuring this flow, but they tend to get clogged due to frequent adjustments and suffer from severe wear. We are now considering using electromagnetic flowmeters; I’m not sure whether such devices can be used with charged liquids I hope an expert can answer this.
It is possible to install a device to eliminate electricity before it enters the electromagnetic flowmeter; otherwise, it is not feasible.
The potentials of electromagnetic flowmeters are in the millivolt range; it’s likely not possible to achieve that

Being charged means that the dielectric may sometimes experience leakage current due to the influence of the electrolyzer? Yokogawa’s dual-frequency excitation electromagnetic flowmeters can be used very effectively in any stage of ion-exchange membrane caustic soda production, including the brine flowing in and out of the electrolyzers. It’s worth giving them a try; I think the concept of the medium being charged mentioned by the original poster isn’t specific enough.

Proper electromagnetic flowmeters are equipped with grounding electrodes or grounding rings during selection, and these electrodes or rings must be properly grounded in accordance with relevant regulations during installation. This measure ensures that the measuring electrodes of the electromagnetic flowmeter are placed in a stable zero-potential field. In my opinion, the original poster failed to clarify the concept of dielectric charging; either they did not select and install an electromagnetic flowmeter suitable for that environment in accordance with the relevant standards.
When it is said that the medium is charged, this means that a multimeter detection shows the presence of current in the liquid; furthermore, if one comes into contact with this liquid without proper protection, an electric shock sensation can be felt, as if current is flowing through the liquid
