I found something like this at the scene; I don’t know what it is or what it’s used for. Please help to explain it.

The advantage of inserting at an angle might be that, when replacing old or damaged temperature sensor sleeves, it is not necessary to remove much of the medium; the replacement can be carried out as long as the sleeve is positioned slightly below the opening. It is also possible to measure the temperature of the medium slightly below the opening.
