Mass flow meter communication methods

I have a question for everyone: For flow meters, especially mass flow meters, what methods are generally used for communication? Through HART? or MODBUS? or fiber optic? Thank you all
It is best to communicate with your control system technicians to discuss the communication methods.
Generally, the cables that connect the physical quantity measuring instruments to the control cabinet are used for this purpose. Additionally, HART is a protocol for handheld communication devices, and it is different from Modbus. Moreover, it also depends on whether you need to participate in control; if you do, the communication will be unreliable.
Modbus is just a rough name; there are several different communication methods. As for fiber optics, it represents the hardware requirements for communication, and cannot be compared side by side with communication protocols. Hart is generally used more for debugging instruments, right? There are only a few common communication methods to choose from; it’s just a matter of determining which one works better in combination with the instrument or the DCS.
