Back from the electrical department to the control room; it’s my first day at work today, and I’m feeling good

From fine chemical plants, to environmental protection equipment manufacturers, and then to companies specializing in chemical process design； From instrumentation engineer to electrical engineer, and then back to control instrumentation engineer ； It feels like everything in life has changed; I’m feeling really happy, aren’t you? It’s my first day at work today – sitting in the office, I’m reminded of those days spent in the fine chemical factory, and it feels great. I just started working here… But the manager is on a business trip, so he gave me a computer and a PID diagram. I took some time to study it, and I found that the diagram was presented in a very orderly manner, making it easy to understand at a glance. My career plan: After graduating, I will work in a chemical company for about five years (this has already been achieved). Then I’ll work at a design firm for around five years (I’m working towards that goal). After that, I plan to work as an instrumentation engineer in the large-scale chemical industry (petrochemicals, coal chemicals) for five more years. Following that, I hope to work on various projects for a few years before returning to a role in instrumentation technology management, where I can become an expert and retire… I have no intention of taking on management positions or pursuing an administrative career; my goal is to become the deputy chief engineer in charge of electrical and instrumentation matters in the large-scale chemical industry! ! ! Eating an annual salary~~! ! ! ! ! I hope that the seniors and colleagues in the instrumentation field can discuss with each other. Feel free to criticize and criticize my life goals... I hope I can keep going. I had similar career plans before, but they never got any further. . . . . .
Is it because there’s enough money, so they don’t want to work that hard anymore?
Changing jobs comes with a lot of uncertainty.
I have always believed, both in the past and now, that salary is not a factor that influences my decision to change jobs; it is my interests, opportunities for learning, and the platform itself that matter to me.
Mainly, I’m relatively young and my salary isn’t high; perhaps that’s why it hasn’t hindered my pursuit……
When you just graduate, you can be very happy eating instant noodles and steamed buns by yourself; you don’t find it hard at all. But once you have children, you’ll realize how painful it is to have no money. So it shows just how difficult it is to switch into another industry at the age of 30. When large chemical companies recruit instrument engineers, they don’t necessarily look for those who specialize in design; rather, their first thought is to hire instrument engineers with experience in similar processes.
A word of caution for the original poster: The vision is great, but winning is not easy! Personally, I think keeping working hard to earn more money is more practical
