Requirements for straight pipe sections: The flow meter must be installed horizontally on the pipeline (with an inclination of no more than 5 degrees); during installation, the axis of the flow meter should be concentric with the axis of the pipeline, and the flow direction must be consistent. The pipe section upstream of the flow meter should have a straight section of equal diameter of at least 2D; if the installation location permits, it is recommended that the upstream straight section be 20D and the downstream one be 5D. Requirements for piping: The inner diameters of the piping upstream and downstream of the flow meter installation point must be the same as the inner diameter of the flow meter. Requirements for the bypass pipe: To ensure that the normal operation of the fluid is not affected during maintenance of the flow meter, shut-off valves (gate valves) should be installed on the pipes before and after the flow meter, and a bypass pipe should also be provided. The flow control valve should be installed downstream of the flow meter. When using the flow meter, the stop valve installed upstream must be fully open to prevent unstable flow conditions in the upstream section. Requirements for the external environment: It is preferable to install the flow meter indoors. If installation outdoors is necessary, sun protection, rain protection, and lightning protection measures must be taken to prevent damage to its service life. Requirements for impurities in the medium: To ensure the service life of the flow meter, a filter should be installed before the straight section of the flow meter. Installation location: The flow meter should be installed in a location that facilitates maintenance and is free from strong electromagnetic interference and thermal radiation. Requirements for installation welding: The user must provide another set of standard flanges to be welded to the pipes at the front and back. Welding with a flow meter is not allowed! Before installing the flow meter, all debris such as weld slag in the pipeline must be thoroughly removed; it is advisable to use a pipe of the same diameter (or a bypass pipe) to purge the pipeline in place of the flow meter. To ensure that the flow meter is not damaged during use. When installing a flow meter, the gasket between the flanges must not be recessed into the pipe.
