Hello everyone! I came here after seeing the title; I assume I have some understanding of 6 Sigma. Our company recently trained everyone on 6 Sigma, and required each person to work on a 6 Sigma project. I work on the maintenance of chemical process instruments, and there are usually no major equipment failures. Could everyone suggest some ideas regarding the maintenance of chemical process instruments? What issues exist that could be addressed using the 6Sigma methodology? (This brainstorming! Leverage the power of the forum to do it! Amazing! My thought: With the recent explosion in the Xiangshui Chemical Park in Jiangsu, maybe I should consider this aspect – can safety be ensured in terms of instrumentation? How can similar language be described?
6S is a high standard for daily work. With high work standards on a regular basis, and no issues with equipment, operations, or personnel, there will be no safety problems. In fact, I believe that doing one’s job well, delving into the specifics of one’s industry, and understanding knowledge related to processes, equipment, electricity, etc., so as to be able to identify problems promptly, analyze them, solve them, and prevent their occurrence, is the key to successful production. Safety is not part of the work process itself; it is rather a result of good working habits. Managing safety is essentially doing production work. Dry production is a process, while safety is the outcome; the two are unified.
