The on/off valve has 2 independent cylinders; why is that?

I would like to ask the experts: A control valve with 2 separate cylinders – does having air intake and exhaust occur simultaneously in these two cylinders speed up the valve’s movement? Or other reasons?
It is recommended to take photos of such valves or provide the specific model for easier analysis!
