Can a bypass be installed on the flow meters that need to be sent for calibration each year in the device? If possible, what would a rough plan look like? Please, experts! Thank you
No, installing bypass metering would call into question the fairness of the process.
This involves the purpose of the flow meter and the medium, so the situation is quite complex. Generally, systems can be equipped with bypasses to facilitate fault handling and cleaning, so as not to affect the system’s operation. Commercial meters generally do not have bypasses, or a direct series connection is used instead. Moreover, flow meters are also divided into many categories, with each having different characteristics. It’s impossible to generalize.
Flowmeter calibration has no direct relationship with pipeline layout. Backup tables, bypasses,.... are all solutions.
A bypass should be added; without it, will the machine have to stop during forced inspection? We provide inlet and outlet stop valves with lead seals. The price of high-precision models with backup units is too high
This isn’t a big issue; as long as both the supplier and the user are satisfied, that’s fine. The bypass can be sealed with lead to prevent operation.
A blind plate is used with two valves; installing a blind plate between the two valves along with a pressure relief valve is sufficient to meet the requirements.
