The sump pit beneath the building is designed to be too shallow – only 25 cm deep – so the level switch built into the submersible pump cannot float at all (the depth of the pit is less than the height of the pump). Therefore, I want to remove the current float switch and install a level switch that can move up and down; it should be a single-contact type (normally open?) It needs to be connected to the cable of the float switch that comes with the original pump, and it’s better if it’s shorter – something like what’s shown in the image below. When searching on Baidu, all the options are from unknown brands; I’m not sure which company manufactures this type of level switch. Please suggest some options, and if there are any better solutions, I’d appreciate it if you could discuss them as well. Thank you.

The approach is wrong; using a float switch in such conditions is simply ridiculous. First of all, the float itself has a certain length, which creates a blind spot. Secondly, there are inevitably impurities at the bottom of the tank, and if these impurities get stuck to the float, it can cause the pump to burn out. How much does a pump cost, and how much does a float switch cost? Choosing a float switch is merely an attempt to save money on instruments, without taking into account the cost of the pump; Try a different approach – you could consider tuning fork level switches or radio frequency admittance level switches.
