Whether to include a gland, and what specification of gland to use, are determined through negotiation between the supplier and the buyer prior to the business purchase; this depends on the outcome of their communication. During acceptance, the technical agreement and commercial contract signed prior to supply can be used as evidence.
While others were saying that the completion inspection wouldn’t be passed easily, I couldn’t find any regulatory provisions or documents stating that junction boxes cannot have gland fittings.
Bro, if there are still so many unused GRAN heads that haven’t been connected by the time of completion, how is it possible to let you pass? For those without wiring, remove the gland and seal the junction box with a plug.
The last empty space must definitely be sealed with a plug. The key point is that the cable enters the junction box through a gland; some people say that this approach might not pass inspection, but I couldn’t find any source for this claim.
It’s not possible to specify in the regulations that gland fittings must not be used in junction boxes, but it will be stated that the spare wiring holes in junction boxes should be sealed with plugs.
Do you mean that the cables in the explosion-proof area are connected directly with gland connectors, without explosion-proof flexible tubes? Nothing else seems noticeable either

Instead of a flexible tube, an explosion-proof flange should be used; even if a flexible tube is used, an explosion-proof flange is still necessary, although the specifications of the two types of flanges are different. In more formal terms, it is called an explosion-proof sealing joint. I guess you mean that it’s not easy to pass without flexible explosion-proof pipes? Proper wiring in accordance with the specifications will definitely be fine, but the acceptance process may involve other factors such as local practices or internal standards.
In our field (chemical engineering), we need to use wire ducts and explosion-proof hoses; for empty spaces, plugs are required, otherwise it’s not safe and approval won’t be granted
Our original design was to use steel pipes + flexible pipes + flanges + connectors on the junction box itself. We heard that it’s difficult to pass the inspection when flanges are used, so we were required to connect the steel pipes and flexible pipes directly to the connectors on the junction box. Regarding this practice of avoiding gran heads, no standards or sources for relevant documents have been found.
