The diameter of the flow meter is currently DN20, while the diameters of the inlet and outlet pipes are DN25. The instrument indicates that the installation is incorrect, as the diameters and lengths of the inlet and outlet pipes are not proper. Is there anyone who knows something about this?

The prerequisite is that the flow must be from bottom to top. It seems that a straight pipe section should be sufficient as well. The only problem is that I don’t understand: according to you, your flange should be DN20, so why was a 25mm pipe welded on?
For inlet and outlet pipes, use a reducer of 25×20; include straight pipe sections of 10D in front and 5D behind it
For flow meters with a large inlet and outlet diameter, it is possible to consider using a reduced-diameter version. In the case of electromagnetic flow meters, the length of the straight pipe section must also meet the installation requirements; the specifics depend on the type of flow meter being used

When a flow meter specifies a diameter of DN25, it refers to the size of the connection flange being DN25, not the diameter of the measurement tube. The straight sections before and after the flow meter are also determined based on the dimensions of the flanges at the pipe ends.
