How many grounding wires are allowed at the same compression point? 【Answer】It cannot be generalized; differences exist depending on the type of equipment (instrument or electrical device) and the application scenario, with specific requirements varying accordingly. 【Basis】 (1) Article 7.0.9 of GB 50171-2012 Code for Construction and Acceptance of Panel, Cabinet and Secondary Circuit Wiring in Electrical Installation Projects – The grounding terminal connection wires of devices on panels and cabinets, as well as the cable armor and shielding grounding wires, shall be connected to the grounding copper busbars using yellow-green insulated multi-strand grounding copper wires. The cross-sectional area of the grounding wire for cable armor should be the same as that of the core wires, and it should not be less than 4 mm2. The cross-sectional area of the grounding wire for the cable shield should be more than twice the cross-sectional area of the shield itself. When there are many grounding wires, no more than 6 of them can be connected to the same terminal, and they must be securely connected to the grounding copper bar.
