On April 13, 2017, the carbonization furnace of the 10-million-ton-per-year lump coal dry distillation unit, which is part of the first phase of Xinjiang Guanghui Coal Clean Processing Co., Ltd.’s 30-million-ton-per-year project for the comprehensive processing of coal through grading and quality improvement, was officially brought online. The project is located in Naomaohu Town, Yiwu County, Hami Region, Xinjiang. This facility is a 10-million-ton-per-year dry distillation plant for lump coal; it processes long-flame coal from the Hami region of Xinjiang to produce upgraded coal and sulfur as a by-product, while also supplying crude aromatics and raw gas to downstream facilities. Xinjiang Guanghui’s 30 million tons per year coal grading, upgrading, and comprehensive utilization project is carried out in two phases. The first phase includes a 10 million tons per year lump coal dry distillation unit, a facility for producing hydrogen from raw coal gas at a rate of 135,000 standard cubic meters per hour, a 1.6 million tons per year crude aromatics hydrogenation unit (including a phenol extraction unit), as well as related supporting facilities ; Phase II of the project includes a 20 million tons per year coal gasification unit, a hydrogen production facility using gasified gas at 120,000 standard cubic meters per hour (including an LNG facility), a 1.6 million tons per year crude aromatic hydrocarbons hydrogenation complex (including a phenol extraction unit), as well as related supporting facilities.
The carbonization furnace of the 10-million-ton-per-year lump coal dry distillation unit in Phase 1 of Xinjiang Guanghui Coal Clean Processing and Refining Co., Ltd.’s 30-million-ton-per-year coal grading, quality improvement, and comprehensive utilization project was officially commissioned. Congratulations!)
