Can it handle heavy oil by itself?
In a slurry bed, the liquid must have a sufficiently low viscosity to ensure effective mass and heat transfer within the reactor, as well as to enable the practical separation of the catalyst from the liquid product. A systematic analysis of the processing process is required to determine whether this type of reactor can be used.
Do you produce high-temperature coal tar? ?
Yes, there are quite high requirements regarding viscosity and mixing. Have you conducted any relevant research on this?
We have conducted cold-model tests; although the details are confidential, it can be said that when the viscosity reaches the level of water at normal temperature and pressure, the behavior characteristics of the fluid differ significantly from those in the Fischer-Tropsch process, mainly in terms of the bed deaeration rate and the proportion of large bubbles.
Slurry bed reactors have been used in coal direct liquefaction for some time now, and their application has since been extended to the hydrogenation of low-quality oils; relevant companies are carrying out industrial trials and preliminary work on commercial projects
