The device’s steam superheater is making a loud noise

This post was last edited by liaifeng on 2018-8-5 at 17:27. The residual boiler in the sulfur unit produces steam at 1.0 MPA, which is then heated by a steam superheater. Is it possible that the steam superheater is making a loud noise? I’m not sure what’s causing this; does anyone know? Thank you
1. Check for any leaks in the steam superheater and the outlet pipelines； 2. If there is abnormal noise inside the steam superheater, it is likely caused by flue gas passing through the steam superheater; try adjusting the opening degree of the flue damper behind the furnace ；
Are you referring to the drum on the waste heat boiler?
Where is your steam superheater located?
What is the height of your chimney? Is there a flue baffle before entering the chimney? When the flue gas generated during the combustion in the exhaust gas incinerator passes through the tubes of the steam superheater, abnormal noises may occur sometimes.
The chimney is 60 meters tall; why does there be a harsh noise when the flue gas passes through the tubes? What causes this?
The specific reason is not yet clear; just as strong winds can produce unusual noises when blowing through narrow spaces, it might be possible to adjust the flue dampers and give it a try.
