On May 8, Yanchang Petroleum Company’s Yushen Energy and Chemical Industry Limited held a meeting to discuss the overall layout for the 500,000 tons per year coal-based ethanol project. Li Junlin, Executive Director and General Manager of Yushen Nenghua; Wu Youbin, Deputy General Manager and Chief Engineer; Feng Chenghai, Deputy General Manager and Chief Engineer of Yulin Coal Chemical Company; Tian Pinghan, Assistant to the General Manager of Beijing Petrochemical Engineering Co., Ltd., along with other responsible persons and relevant technical staff, attended the meeting. At the meeting, Beijing Petrochemical Engineering Co., Ltd. provided a detailed introduction to the general layout plan and principles for the 500,000 tons per year coal-based ethanol project ； The attending leaders and relevant technical personnel had in-depth discussions on various issues related to the general layout design. The focus is on making modifications and optimizations to the layout of various areas in the plan, such as the vehicle loading area, flare system, control room, large-scale manufacturing facilities, power station, and main substation ； This makes the overall layout more rational and ensures compliance with the requirements of fire protection design review and acceptance standards. Through this overall layout coordination meeting, the progress of the basic design was accelerated ； The overall layout concept for the project site is clearer, and the general plan is more rational ； The subsequent construction plan for the factory floor is more explicit. At the same time, it laid a solid foundation for the steady and orderly progress of the project. Project Overview: The 500,000 tons per year coal-based ethanol project of Shaanxi Yanchang Petroleum Yushen Energy Chemical Co., Ltd. is planned to be constructed in the Qingshui Industrial Park of the Yushen Industrial Zone. The main construction scope and details include: using Xiwan coal as raw material to build a new 450,000 tons per year methanol production complex (comprising coal gasification, purification, shift reaction, gas separation, and methanol production units), a 500,000 tons per year ethanol production complex (including dimethyl ether, methyl acetate, and ethanol production units), an air separation unit with a capacity of 75,000 Nm3/h, 3 × 220-ton per hour high-pressure coal powder boilers, a 6,000 tons per year sulfur production plant, along with various supporting utility systems. The total investment in the project is 6.4 billion yuan, with annual operating revenue of 2.97 billion yuan, annual profit of 1.04 billion yuan, and tax revenues of 260 million yuan. Completion and operation are expected in 2021.
