The signing ceremony for the investment promotion project related to Qianxi Chemical’s 300,000 tons per year coal-based ethylene glycol production chain was held. On the afternoon of June 3, the signing ceremony took place in the conference room on the 3rd floor of the administrative center in Qianxi County, Bijie City, Guizhou Province. This signing ceremony was hosted by Qianxi County **, with the Qianxi County Investment Promotion Bureau and Qianxi Economic Development Zone acting as organizers. At the meeting, Qianxi County signed a contract with Chongqing Longna Chemical Co., Ltd. for a 100,000 tons per year food-grade CO2 production project, and signed another contract with Guizhou Jianeng Technology Co., Ltd. for a 2×200,000 tons dimethyl ether production project. The 2×200,000-ton dimethyl ether project signed this time. It is planned to use the gasifier on standby at Qianxi Chemical to produce excess methanol, which will then be used in catalytic reactions to generate dimethyl ether, thereby generating an additional annual industrial output value of 800 million yuan. The feasibility study report for this project has been prepared, and currently, environmental pre-assessments and other preliminary tasks are underway. And the newly signed 100,000 tons/year food-grade CO2 project. It is planned to recycle the carbon dioxide emitted during the ethylene glycol production process; this will enable the recovery of 100,000 tons of carbon dioxide per year, generate approximately 50 million yuan in additional annual revenue, and help reduce greenhouse gas emissions while bringing social benefits. The project is expected to cost 30 million yuan, with construction set to begin in the second half of 2019.
