Enerchem’s Wushenzhao plant adopts various strategies to achieve energy savings and lower consumption in olefin separation. First, the circulating water valve of the rehydration unit was reduced from 55% to 15%, resulting in a savings of 31 million tons of circulating water per year ; Secondly, the washing water used in the wash tower is changed from turbine condensate to MTO purified water, resulting in a savings of 43,200 tons per year in the use of turbine condensate ; Thirdly, the regeneration time of the dryers is extended to reduce the amount of nitrogen used for regeneration; the regeneration cycle of the gaseous hydrocarbon dryer and the liquid hydrocarbon dryer is increased by 4 hours, while the regeneration cycle of the propylene product protection bed is extended by 3 days, resulting in a savings of 5.76 million Nm3 of nitrogen per year. Through the above measures, the energy consumption of the olefin separation unit in production has been reduced from 212 kg of standard coal per ton of dienes to 195.65 kg of standard coal per ton of dienes, achieving the lowest energy consumption for the unit since it was put into operation.
