Through in-depth discussions and research at the meeting, the raw material specifications, operational flexibility of the equipment, and relevant design conditions were determined. Preliminary technical requirements were established for the CO2 product gas from the low-temperature methanol washing unit to the gasification unit, and unified regulations for project design were clarified. This project is one of the company’s key initiatives for 2019. Since work began on February 26 of this year, the company’s project team has mobilized all available resources and overcome numerous difficulties; by the end of May, it successfully achieved the milestone goals for the first phase of foundation design. With the commencement meeting, the second phase of the foundation engineering design for the project has begun, marking the entry of the foundation engineering design into its actual implementation stage. Shaanxi Yanchang Petroleum Yushen Energy Chemical Co., Ltd.’s 500,000 tons per year coal-based ethanol project is planned to be built in the Qingshui Industrial Park of the Yushen Industrial Zone. The main construction scope and components include: using Xiwan coal as raw material to build a new 450,000 tons per year methanol production complex (comprising coal gasification, purification, shift reaction, gas separation, and methanol production units), a 500,000 tons per year ethanol production complex (including dimethyl ether, methyl acetate, and ethanol production units), an air separation unit with a capacity of 75,000 Nm3/h, 3 × 220 tons per hour high-pressure coal powder boilers, a 6,000 tons per year sulfur production plant, along with the necessary supporting utilities. The total investment in the project is 6.4 billion yuan, with annual operating revenue of 2.97 billion yuan, annual profit of 1.04 billion yuan, and tax revenues of 260 million yuan. Completion and operation are expected in 2021.
