Successful Commissioning of the Wastewater Treatment and Salt Separation Project for Coal-to-Oil Production at Future Energy Author/Source: Coal Tar Deep Processing and Hydrogenation Technology Collaboration Group Date: 2021-10-25 Clicks: 25 At 16:30 on October 21, the pilot run of the wastewater treatment and salt separation project at Future Energy’s coal-to-oil production facility was successful; qualified sodium chloride and sodium sulfate products were produced, with all parameters meeting the design specifications. The project is constructed using the BOT model, with Beijing Botian Environmental Company investing in its development. It employs advanced domestic technologies involving \"nanofiltration membrane separation for salt extraction + three-effect evaporation crystallization + recrystallization\", which ensure high efficiency in separating impurities and low energy consumption. The sodium chloride and sodium sulfate products produced meet the standards required for industrial salts and industrial anhydrous sodium sulfate, thereby effectively addressing the problem of disposing of impurities from wastewater treatment and reducing environmental pressures on enterprises. Construction of the project began in October 2020. The coal-to-oil subsidiary and Botian Environment formed a joint project team that focused on meeting the set deadlines, working systematically to achieve those goals. All the constructors and technical staff continuously improved the process design and enhanced the construction organization, thereby enabling the project to be completed and the processes to be put into operation on schedule. Once operational, this project will save over 20 million yuan annually in costs related to the disposal of hazardous waste. It also enables the sale of salt-derived products, making it an environmental project that helps reduce pollutant discharge and turns waste into valuable resources.
