On July 1, Jutai Company held a grand ceremony to mark the commencement of operations of its ethylene glycol production facility; the company’s chairman, Mr. Wang, announced that the ethylene glycol production facility was now in operation ” Gao Jiancheng, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Yanchang Petroleum Shaanxi Chemical Construction Engineering Co., Ltd., a company under Sinochem Hualu Engineering Technology Co., Ltd.; Hu Erfu, Chairman of China National Chemical Engineering Corporation’s Sixth Construction Company; representatives from China National Chemical Engineering Corporation’s Eleventh and Sixteenth Construction Companies; officials from AECOM David Taylor Limited in the UK and Air Products (China) Investment Co., Ltd.; as well as representatives of employees from various companies involved in the project, attended the celebration ceremony. Cui Yijun, General Manager of Jutai New Materials Company, delivered an enthusiastic welcome speech. David Watson, R&D manager at British Johnson Matthey David Technology Ltd., said that the commissioning ceremony is a milestone for project construction, especially for the first ethylene glycol plant to utilize Johnson Matthey/Esso technology.
