At the construction site of the gasification unit for the second phase of the coal-to-natural gas project at Inner Mongolia HuiNeng Coal Chemical Co., Ltd., more than 300 workers are working hard to set up formwork and pour concrete; it is expected that the main framework of the gasification unit will be completed by the end of this year. The HuiNeng coal-to-natural gas project is **one of the first batch of approved coal-to-gas demonstration projects. The first phase, with an annual production capacity of 400 million cubic meters of coal-to-gas and liquefied gas, came online in 2014, and to date nearly 2 billion cubic meters of natural gas have been produced. In May 2018, the company invested another 12 billion yuan to start construction on the Phase II of the HuiNeng coal-to-natural gas project, with an annual production capacity of 1.2 billion cubic meters of coal-to-natural gas. Completion and operation were scheduled for 2021; upon completion, it was expected to generate an annual output value of 6.5 billion yuan and create 3,000 jobs. Since the beginning of this year, our city has made active efforts to build up a reserve of major projects, taking the construction of such projects as a key driver and the implementation of new development concepts as a means to promote high-quality economic and social development. At the construction site of the project undertaken by Inner Mongolia Sulihe Petrochemical Co., Ltd. in Wushen Banner, which is designed to process 50,000 tons of waste oil per year for comprehensive utilization, workers are assembling and welding the distillation units, as well as lifting the core fractionation tower of this equipment, in order to ensure that the project can be put into trial operation within this year. Inner Mongolia Sulige Petrochemical Co., Ltd. is mainly engaged in the production and sales of chemical products derived from oil and gas fields, as well as paraffin oil, which will help to extend the industrial chain of the local petrochemical industry.
