The 1.2 million tons per year fine chemicals demonstration project of Inner Mongolia Yitai Chemical Co., Ltd. successfully passed the assessment organized by the Petrochemical Industry Federation. From November 12 to 15, 2019, at the request of Inner Mongolia Yitai Chemical Co., Ltd., the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation dispatched an on-site assessment team to conduct a 72-hour continuous operation assessment of this demonstration project. On the afternoon of November 13, the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation organized a kick-off meeting for the assessment in Hangjin Banner, Ordos City, Inner Mongolia. The assessment expert panel consisted of Wang Shoujian, former chief engineer of Sinopec Group; Zhang Zhongqing, a leading expert at Fushun Research Institute of Petrochemical Technology under Sinopec; Liang Longhu, former deputy chief engineer of Luoyang Engineering Co., Ltd. under Sinopec; and Li Chen, former deputy chief engineer of the Petroleum and Chemical Industry Planning Institute. The expert group listened to a presentation by Inner Mongolia Yitai Chemical Co., Ltd. on the construction and operation of the 1.2 million tons per year fine chemicals demonstration project facility, as well as a report on the assessment plan and the preparations for it. They finalized the assessment plan and confirmed the calculation methods for various assessment indicators. Leaders and representatives from the entities responsible for completing this project, including Qi Yaping, Vice President of Inner Mongolia Yitai Group Company; Liu Shangli, Chairman of Inner Mongolia Yitai Chemical Co., Ltd.; Wang Chunsheng, General Manager; and Cao Liren, Chief Engineer at Zhongke Synthetic Oil Technology Co., Ltd., attended the launch meeting. The meeting was chaired by Wang Xiujiang, deputy secretary-general of the Coal Chemicals Committee of the Petrochemical Federation. The key process technologies for the 1.2 million tons per year fine chemicals demonstration project of Inner Mongolia Yitai Chemical Co., Ltd. include the USTC high-temperature slurry-bed medium-temperature Fischer-Tropsch synthesis technology, which possesses independent intellectual property rights in China, as well as the Aerospace Changzheng pressurized coal gasification technology. The main construction components include six primary process units for air separation, gasification, purification, exhaust gas conversion, synthesis, and processing, along with supporting utility and auxiliary systems such as boilers, power supply, water supply, coal transportation, and storage and handling facilities. On July 7, 2017, the project underwent a successful one-time test run, completing the entire process and producing qualified products. On September 14 of the same year, the air intake volume of the entire plant reached its designed full capacity, achieving an excellent result of reaching full operational capacity within 100 days from the start of operation. As of November 10, 2019, the project had been in operation for a total of 836 days, during which 2.2968 million tons of the main product were produced.
