On March 26, the first-stage commissioning of the carbon dioxide compression unit in the purification plant, carried out by the Third Installation Company under Sinochem Sixth Construction Company, was successful. This marks the completion of the installation and commissioning of the two main compression units in the plant – the propylene compression unit and the carbon dioxide compression unit – laying a solid foundation for the plant’s successful operation. At 14:00 on that day, the units in the control room were officially started up. They went through the stages of acceleration, crossing the critical point, stabilization, and overspeed operation, with all procedures being carried out smoothly. The various system devices operated properly, and parameters such as shaft vibration, shaft displacement, and temperature (oil temperature and shaft temperature) showed normal values and excellent data, meeting the design requirements. To ensure the successful first-time commissioning of the two compression units, the Baofeng Methanol Purification Project Team holds regular daily meetings with the heads of the teams responsible for these units, during which detailed plans for the commissioning process are developed. Attention is paid to various precautions and safety measures that need to be followed during the joint commissioning of the compression units; objectives are defined in detail, responsibilities are assigned, and the commissioning plan is implemented step by step. The conditions necessary for commissioning are verified, and all factors that could affect the commissioning process are thoroughly checked, section by section and system by system, in strict accordance with the planned requirements, so as to ensure that all preparatory work is completed successfully before the joint commissioning of the units. The methanol unit of Baofeng Energy’s 600,000 tons per year olefins project is located in the core area of the **-grade Ningdong Energy and Chemical Industry Base. Once the project is put into operation, it will play a positive role in promoting the development of a circular economy in coal chemical manufacturing in the region, and help fill the gap in **high-end coal chemical products.
