On June 2, Zhongtian Hechuang introduced three new grades of polyolefin products: PPR-4400, EGR-26C, and EGM-17B. This indicates that Trina Solar has another new source of growth in profitability. Faced with the significant drop in prices of its core product grades, Zhongtian Hechuang adopted a market-oriented approach by increasing efforts in new product development. Building on the development of products such as K7726H, S2040H, and Y35, it introduced three new grades of polyolefin products. The gas-phase polypropylene plant has successfully produced PPR-4400 grade products. This product is a polypropylene with a low melt index and high molecular weight; it represents a new type of water pipe material that is widely used these days. The current price of this product is around 8,500 yuan per ton, which is nearly 1,200 yuan per ton higher than the price of the K8003 grade product that is currently used in this application. The gas-phase polyethylene plant successfully produced over 700 tons of two new grade products, EGM-17B and EGR-26C. EGM-17B is mainly used for manufacturing crates, while EGR-26C is primarily used for producing containers, kayaks, road barriers, etc., offering a significant price advantage.
