On March 27, the high-pressure air buffer tank for the air separation unit in this technical upgrade project was installed in place. The high-pressure air buffer tanks are key equipment in the second-phase air separation unit; there are two such tanks in total. Each tank has a volume of 225 m3, a design pressure of 7.8 MPa, and a weight of 181.6 tons, making them large-scale, heavy-pressure vessel systems. The equipment was manufactured by the manufacturer and shipped on December 12, 2019. It arrived at the air separation site after a long-distance shipment on March 14. Following careful preparation for the lifting process, the two sets of high-pressure air buffer tanks were successfully lifted into place on March 26 and 27. The lifting and installation of this equipment signify that all the key equipment for the air separation project has arrived. On-site piping construction will be carried out on a full scale to ensure the timely completion of the methanol plant project.
