Currently, new arrangements have been made regarding the construction schedule. Li Peng, deputy general manager of Guanghui Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd., said that there are currently over 300 workers at the construction site, and all employees of the owner’s company have returned to work. The construction team is focusing on civil engineering work at present. To ensure that workers can work in peace and safety during the resumption of operations, Guanghui Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd. has established a detailed registration system for entry and exit, prepared supplies for epidemic prevention in advance, and also made adjustments regarding workers’ accommodation and meals. Li Peng, deputy general manager of Guanghui Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd., told reporters: “In terms of epidemic prevention and control, we have established a detailed personnel registration system, ensure that the necessary prevention and control supplies are in place before workers arrive at the site, and set up medical observation and isolation areas in advance. Whenever workers go to work at the construction site, there are dedicated epidemic prevention officers at the entrance who check each person’s temperature, thereby ensuring that epidemic prevention measures are upheld while construction proceeds.” ” Relying on the waste gas resources available from Xinjiang Guanghui Coal Clean Refining Co., Ltd., as well as the excess high-pressure steam resources, Guanghui Environmental Protection Technology Company plans to invest 3.69 billion yuan in building a facility capable of producing 400,000 tons of ethylene glycol per year from waste gas. This will be China’s first project of its kind that utilizes waste gas for the production of high-quality chemical products such as ethylene glycol; it represents a typical example of an energy-saving and environmental-friendly project. On September 16, 2018, this project was included in the green project database of the Xinjiang Green Finance Reform and Innovation Pilot Zone as a green project. The project construction period is 2 years; by the end of 2019, 40% of the civil engineering work was completed and installation work commenced. The detailed design and ordering of long-cycle equipment have been completed. Li Peng, deputy general manager of Guanghui Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd., said that the current main construction activities involve foundation excavation and pouring, as well as some foundation backfilling work that was completed at the end of last year. So far, the overall progress of the project corresponds to an investment of 800 million yuan, with plans to invest another 1.4 billion yuan this year.
