At 8:18 on April 18, the ceremony for launching the construction of the project to produce 300,000 tons per year of methanol along with ammonia, as part of Donghua Technology’s Shanxi Xiaxin fine chemicals and new materials recycling project (hereinafter referred to as the “Shanxi Xiaxin methanol project”), was held; this ceremony marked the official start of construction. Firecrackers were set off at the project site, and the construction equipment was arranged in an orderly manner. Jia Yahong, the project commander of Shanxi Yaxin New Energy Technology Co., Ltd., who represents the owner, Wang Qi, the deputy commander, Peng Tao, the deputy chief engineer, and Hu Cun, the project manager of Donghua Technology, attended the ceremony for the project’s official launch and the commencement of pile driving work. All members of the owner’s methanol project department, engineering department, and Donghua Technology’s Yaxin project team were also present to witness this important moment. Given the tight schedule for the Shanxi Xiaxin methanol project and the severe challenges posed by pandemic prevention and control, Donghua Technology established a WeChat work group for this project on February 3, enabling project team members to communicate promptly and work together to accelerate the project’s design process. The on-site project team also actively cooperated with the owner in carrying out demolition and detailed surveys, helping the owner to advance these tasks as quickly as possible in order to facilitate the smooth progress of the project. Thanks to the efforts of all members of the project team, the first batch of pile foundation drawings was sent to the site on April 10, marking the start of the pile foundation construction for the client. The on-site office for Donghua Technology’s project and the temporary construction facilities have also been completed, with a dedication ceremony held. The Shanxi Xiaxin methanol project produces methanol and ammonia as by-products of coker gas generated in the upstream coking process. It serves as a key link in Shanxi Xiaxin New Energy Technology Co., Ltd.’s fine chemicals and new materials recycling initiatives, providing raw materials for the development of fine chemicals in downstream applications. The total value of the general contract for this project is 806 million yuan, with a construction period of 16 months. The project covers an area of approximately 200 mu, and upon completion, it is expected to generate an annual after-tax profit of around 102 million yuan.
