In January 2026, Yulin Chemical successfully completed its production targets for the first month by producing 181,900 tons of ethylene glycol, laying a solid foundation for its operations throughout the year. Shaanxi Coal Yulin Chemical Company’s 1.8 million tons of ethylene glycol is produced using coal as raw material, through Corning CCG gasification, and with ethylene glycol production technology from Japanese companies. It is divided into three series, each of the same scale, at 600,000 tons. On September 8, 2022, the first gasifier in the ethylene glycol plant was fed with material. By October 9, 30 days later, the entire process will be fully integrated, enabling the production of polyester-grade ethylene glycol. 48 days later, on November 28, the entire series was operating at full capacity. In November 2023, the 1.8 million tons per year ethylene glycol plant passed the performance assessment and trial production inspection.
