On June 10, the Water Resources Management and Dispatching Bureau of the Yellow River Water Resources Commission organized an evaluation team to conduct an on-site verification of the water intake permit for JiuTai Company’s methanol deep processing project (hereinafter referred to as the Company). Duan Yongsheng, Xu Hui, Jian Hunlin, along with some senior executives and relevant responsible persons from the Company, attended the inspection. The review panel was composed of experts such as Yuan Xiaoli, deputy director of the Water Resources Management and Dispatching Bureau of the Yellow River Commission; Liu Yongqiang, deputy director of the Management Bureau for the Upper and Middle Reaches of the Yellow River; and Wang Wenguang, a senior engineer from the Water Resources Department of the autonomous region. During the verification process, the review team visited various water-using facilities such as the feed water pump room, reclaimed water reuse system, desalinated water treatment plant, concentrated brine treatment plant, and sewage treatment system to conduct on-site inspections and inquiries. A comprehensive review was also conducted of the relevant documents related to the water withdrawal permit, and suggestions for revisions were made to the reports on the construction and operation of the project’s water withdrawal facilities; it was concluded that the project meets the requirements set out in the water resources assessment and the approval criteria for water withdrawal permits.
