Signing Ceremony for the EPC General Contract of the MMA Project Author/Source: Refining & Chemical Industry News Date: 2021-04-26 Views: 5 On April 22, China National Chemical Corporation Tianchen and Shandong Chengtai New Materials Co., Ltd. signed the EPC general contract for the methyl methacrylate (MMA) project together at the Tianchen Building. Mu Zheying, Chairman of Shandong Chengtai New Materials Co., Ltd.; Liu Mingjiu, Chief Engineer; Wang Lei, Deputy General Manager; Shan Qiuxi, Deputy General Manager ； Liu Yong, Chairman of America Integrity Group ； Yuan Xuemin, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Tianchen Company, Zhou Mingsheng, member of the Party Committee and Deputy General Manager, and Zhao Minwei, Deputy Chief Engineer and General Manager of the Petrochemical Business Unit, among other leaders, attended the signing ceremony. Using butane as raw material and employing the world’s most advanced MMA production technology, this project will enhance China’s overall MMA production capacity upon completion, holding significant importance in the chemical industry. In her speech, Mu Zheying mentioned that on April 21, 1986, the first domestic EPC project undertaken by the predecessor of Tianchen Company, the First Design Institute of the Ministry of Chemical Industry, began construction at the Weifang Soda Ash Plant. 35 years later, once again in Weifang, the partnership between Tianchen and Chengtai is bound to achieve new successes. Yuan Xuemin expressed his gratitude to Shandong Chengtai New Materials Co., Ltd. and America Integrity Group for their trust in Tianchen, stating that Tianchen is willing to leverage its technical advantages to support Shandong Chengtai’s development efforts. Building on this agreement, both parties will actively pursue further development in the comprehensive utilization of C4 compounds as well as the expansion of related industrial chains, aiming for mutual benefit and common growth.
