Yihua Group strengthens management of electrical and instrumentation systems to enhance the stability of its facilities. Author/Source: Yihua Group Date: 2022-02-24 Clicks: 17 With the guidance and support of the group, the company’s electrical and instrumentation systems have implemented professional safety management measures in full, advanced automation upgrades steadily, and carried out efforts to save energy and improve efficiency through minor improvements. As a result, the stability of these facilities has been continuously improved, laying a solid foundation for safe and orderly production. Every effort is made to ensure the stable operation of external power lines. Efforts to monitor and maintain high-voltage lines are continuously intensified; regular inspections are carried out, and special inspections are organized during extreme weather conditions such as load changes or thunderstorms. Preventive measures are taken promptly to address any potential issues identified during these inspections. At the same time, annual planned maintenance was carried out on the four lines—Wansheng I, Wansheng II, Wanda Line, and Dasheng Line—to eliminate potential hazards and ensure the safe and stable operation of the 110KV external lines. Progressive automation upgrades are being carried out. The old PSA and gas generation control system equipment is aging, and the configuration available to meet safety requirements in production is insufficient. To address this issue, the electrical and instrumentation team sent personnel to the site for in-depth research; by adding valves, flow meters, level gauges, and other equipment, the reliability of production safety has been further improved. At the same time, the drive power for the on-site valve actuation relays is transmitted via DB25 communication cables, eliminating the need for extensive installation of connection cables and thus saving costs effectively. By changing the control of the automatic focusing system from PLC to DCS, it has made operation and maintenance easier for the staff. Continuous small-scale improvements are being made. To further enhance production efficiency, the electrical and instrumentation team has mobilized its employees to use their knowledge to address the key challenges in production and equipment operation. By carrying out renovations on the ammonia fractionation cooling interchanger level gauges, the 813 Electrical and Instrumentation Center adopted dual-flange level gauges and capacitive level gauges to perform dual-level online measurements for each unit. This approach effectively solved the problem of distortion in single-level measurements caused by process influences in the past, and enabled automatic level control. In addition, the Fertilizer Equipment Center upgraded the CPE packaging scale, increasing the packaging rate by 50 bags per hour, and introduced an automatic coding machine for CPE packaging to further reduce the workload of employees and improve packaging efficiency. Vigorously promote cost reduction and efficiency improvement by scientifically revising standards and systems, encouraging knowledge innovation and the reuse of existing resources, in order to continuously reduce equipment maintenance costs and electricity expenses. Through in-depth on-site research and analysis by the electrical and instrumentation team, energy-saving upgrades were carried out on equipment such as motors and circulating water pumps in the phosphate production section, resulting in a cumulative savings of 2,460 kWh per day. Reforms were carried out on the double-tube reverse process for Phosphoric Ammonium 2#DAP, as well as on the plate cooling systems in Systems 1# and 2#, resulting in a reduction in electricity consumption per ton of Phosphoric Ammonium by 10 kWh/ton and an increase in production by 60 tons per day. At the same time, electrical and instrumentation staff were actively organized to manufacture distribution cabinets and maintenance power boxes, as well as to repair electronic devices such as instrument control units and displays, **which reduced maintenance costs. The electrical and instrumentation specialty system of the joint-stock company will continue to focus on six aspects—inspections, maintenance, testing, repairs, emergency drills, and spare parts—to implement basic management practices. It will keep improving upon the achievements already made, using professional skills and services to ensure safe production and support the enterprise’s reform and development.
