Guizhou Phosphorus Tianfu Chemical Enters the Market for Methanol Fuel for Vehicles Author/Source: Sinochem New Network Date: July 28, 2020 Clicks: 116 On July 24, 2020, Tianfu Chemical’s M100 methanol fuel for vehicles, produced by Guizhou Phosphorus Group, was tested by the Guizhou Provincial Product Quality Inspection and Testing Institute; all test results met the technical requirements for methanol fuel used in vehicles. This confirms that the production facility for Tianfu Chemical’s M100 methanol fuel has been successfully tested. This project is of great significance for Tianfu to effectively cope with the competition from methanol, expand downstream distribution channels, and improve the profitability associated with methanol. The project was proposed in January this year; during the evaluation phase it had to cope with the challenges posed by the pandemic. On March 2, a meeting was held to evaluate the plan for producing 100,000 tons per year of M100 methanol fuel for use in vehicles, and the implementation plan for the project was finalized as a result. The project team, together with various related departments, the construction unit, and the supervision unit, worked together diligently. With strong support from the company’s leadership, the mechanical installation of the main equipment was completed on June 28; water flushing and airtightness testing were finished on June 30. Pressure testing and flaw detection were carried out on July 4. After successful testing of the additive pump and flushing of the pipelines with methanol, operation testing began on July 10, and it was successful from the first attempt. Currently, Guizhou Province is actively promoting M100 methanol-powered vehicles. Taking advantage of this trend, Tianfu Chemical has modified its existing methanol products and is actively getting involved in the promotion of methanol-powered vehicles in Guizhou. The successful testing of the M100 vehicle methanol fuel blending unit represents another achievement in Tianfu Company’s transformation and upgrading efforts. Tianfu Chemical will make full use of its existing facilities and products to maximize economic benefits, while continuing to seek ways to achieve rapid and sustainable corporate transformation.
